Volunteer Corner:
Volunteers are essential to the effective daily running of the Mission. Groups and individuals can serve in our daily operations and in the Warehouse with the Food Programs, Special Dinners, Fundraisers, organizing church group efforts, Youth Outreach, work projects or you can create a job if you wish. Have a look at the list below to see how you could fit into our work here at CRM.
Volunteer Coordinator Job description: Volunteer Coordinator matches the desires of people who want to help to the opportunities of the Mission. This enables us to place individuals in diversified jobs as the need arises. The purpose of the Volunteer Department is to connect volunteers to the departmental needs of CRM.
A. Mail room: to help with Envelope stuffing. B. Yard worker; help maintain Mission grounds, mowing, trimming and flower beds. C. Cook, bring a dish of food to the Mission for special events (The Great Thanksgiving Banquet) D. Food distribution, help pack food boxes, pick up food donations. E. Truck Driver, to pick up donations of Bulk food, furniture and household. F. Clerk at thrift store, hanging clothing on hangers.

The Mission works with dedicated servants, (hundreds of volunteers). Delivering service to our community’s’ most vulnerable and needy citizens in a highly cost effective way. People interested in volunteering must apply and provide pertinent information. In order to serve in some areas, it is necessary to receive training.

We are so thankful for the 100s’ of volunteers who donate their time and talents each year at Coastal Rescue Mission. They are, without question, one of the Mission’s most valuable resources. Volunteers work in each area of service; doing many things for those, we serve, which are only made possible by their participation.
